WHY WOULD I GET SOMEONE TO DESIGN MY PHOTOBOOK WHEN I CAN DO IT MYSELF?
Sometimes choosing your own photos can be extremely hard and it becomes a time consuming process trying to work out which photos to use. I can take the stress out of it all, by choosing the best photos, designing the layout properly, tweaking images where necessary, cropping and making sure each photo works well with the photos surrounding it.

HOW MANY PAGES CAN MY PHOTOBOOK HAVE?
Your photobook must have a minimum of 20 pages and can vary anywhere up to 160 pages.
WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOS DO YOU ACCEPT
I accept JPEGS, TIFFS, EPS and RAW files. If you are scanning photos that you would like to use, they need to be scanned at 300dpi. Alternatively, I offer a scanning service if you need photo scanning done.
WHAT QUALITY SHOULD MY PHOTOS BE?
The quality of your photobook is dependent on the quality of your photos. Digital photos should be at least 150dpi and the higher quality photo, the more creative control I have to zoom in, crop, etc. Generally, when taking photos on your digital camera use the highest resolution setting. Large photos can always be made smaller but small photos can only be made so big. Photos dragged from Facebook are unsuitable for your photobook.
DO I NEED TO HAVE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS?
Not at all. I understand that most of our photo memories are constantly being captured all the time and we don't always have a professional photographer on hand! I work with the photos you provide me to create the best photobook possible, whether they are professional photos or ones you've snapped with your iphone. But at the same time, the quality of your photos will no doubt alter the overall look of your book. A photobook can only reflect the photos inside it, so the better the photos, the better your book will be. You can see in my gallery the difference between using professional photographs and photos you have taken yourself.
DO YOU RETOUCH OR ALTER MY PHOTOS?
I generally do not retouch any photos, but I do often alter them slightly to make them look as good as they possibly can. Sometimes photos need a bit of brightening or contrast to give them some life. Professional photographs don't usually need any altering, so are much easier and less time consuming to work with. I will often make some photos black & white or sepia where appropriate to create interest and help tell the story of that particular photobook.
WILL I GET TO SEE MY PHOTOBOOK BEFORE IT IS PRINTED?
Yes, you will have 1 review cycle. The photobook will be sent to you as a PDF to check and make any small changes. Once they are made I will resend an updated PDF for approval. Any additional changes will incur an extra cost.
HOW DO I GIVE YOU MY PHOTOS?
Photos will need to be posted to me on a CD/DVD or memory stick. Alternatively, if you live locally in Sydney I may be able to arrange a pick-up or drop-off.
WILL ALL THE PHOTOS I GIVE YOU BE IN MY PHOTOBOOK?
Usually no, unless you only have a small number of professional photos. I choose not only what I believe are the best photos for your photobook, but the most appropriate photos for each page layout.
CAN I TELL YOU WHICH PHOTOS I DEFINITELY WANT IN MY PHOTOBOOK?
Of course. I understand that certain photos may have a sentimental value even if they are not the best of your photos. We can discuss a way of identifying your favourite photos to make sure they feature in your book. However, this should be discussed before the photo editing and design process begins.
CAN I HAVE CAPTIONS OR TEXT IN MY BOOK?
Yes, but it will need to be discussed before the design process begins as it will affect the design of the page layouts. If you only decide to add captions or text at the review stage this may incur an extra cost.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY PHOTOBOOK?
I except payment through bank deposit, paypal or cash.
